I would like to say: I am a Conservative Republican and a Christian. I need to state that first because people ,like Sean Hannity, would like to say that the things I believe make me not apart of that party.
I remember the days when I use to listen to Rush Limbaugh with my dad. I didn't understand why, in those times, it was so important to him to listen to this guy on the radio. I didn't understand because like most teenagers I was more involved with ME and only ME! I believed that if I look out for ME nothing else mattered. My dad on the other hand understood that when WE stand together for a purpose or cause bigger than ourselves that is the only time things would be okay.
This man came to the air waves with a new and radical idea: Conservatives....everyday Conservatives could have a champion and a voice of their own! He would come on the radio with new and clever ways of informing while secretly entertaining you. He spoke truth to power not only for us, but also truth that led to a solidarity within the party......that led to election victories!
As I grew up and started to understand what real life was like (i.e. had to pay Clinton taxes.....), I found a respect for Rush and what he stood up against! A monopoly of liberal media that had 30 plus years to build up a machine that worked daily to bring him down. They failed and miserably!
BUT..........................................
I am sad to say that although I don't have anything against Rush, there is a group of spawns that have taken his style and message to extreme lengths. I have found recently I no longer have the stomach to listen to the 3 hours after Rush and I turn to NPR to study the incorrect nature of the Democrat Party (I didn't say DEMOCRATIC he he he....).
When the music starts and the yelling begins of the Sean Hannity Show I shiver knowing the Dem's will get a chance to find fault in this new copy of a copy of a copy of Rush. Then proceed to say this 3 ring circus of politics IS the Republican Party. It is not!!!
All I can say is if you listen to Hannity I have a new disclaimer for you to read, "Be careful as you listen! If you believe 75%-100% of what this host believes, you may have incurred brain damage from exposure to ridged narrow thought patterns expressed by this host. Seek professional help by listening to the original: Rush Limbaugh! Although even Rush isn't always right.....he is fair and will laugh stupidity off!"
